Street Child

This book will provide the inspiration for all our written work this term and follows the exploits of a young orphan named Jim Jarvis whose struggles to survive on the streets of Victorian England bring him to the door of Dr Barnardo.  Jim was the real life inspiration for Barnardo founding his homes for children and Jim's story provides an excellent insight into what life was like in the Victorian era.
