Prepositions

We have been learning about prepositions in English this week!

Prepositions are words that tell you where or when something is, in relation to something else.

For example:

I climbed onto the trampoline.

We must eat dinner before pudding.

We completed an activity where we had to listen to the instructions, specifically the preposition, and draw what we heard!

Have a go at home!

  • Draw a sun in the top left corner of the page.
  • Draw some rays around the sun.
  • Draw some grass with flowers along the bottom of the page.
  • Draw 3 clouds in the sky.
  • Draw 4 bees near the flowers.
  • Draw a tree on the right side of the page.
  • Draw 5 apples growing on the tree.
  • Draw somebody sitting under the tree.
  • Draw a hat on their head.

Challenge: Can you come up with your own one?

Follow the link below to an activity where you can identify the prepositions in a sentence.
