Today’s clue asks you to identify equivalent fractions. I have attached a times table square and a fraction wall to help you.
Equivalent fractions are those that look different but are worth the same. To find equivalent fractions, multiply the top and bottom part of the fraction by the same number. For example ¼ is equivalent (worth the same) as 3/12, because if I multiple the original numerator (1) by 3 I get 3, and if I multiple the original denominator (4) by 3, I get 12.
Also attached are the answers for you to check – don’t look at them until the end though!!!
