National Poetry Day is the annual mass celebration on the first Thursday of October that encourages everyone to make, experience and share poetry with family and friends’.
The theme of this year is The Environment, therefore we are encouraging every child in the school to write their own poem based on the environment. It can be any style of poem:
- Rhyming
- Acrostic
- Limerick
- Free Verse
- Shape
- Sonnet
As long as it’s based upon the theme of environment the possibilities are endless.
Please hand all entries to the office by Friday 21st October. There will be a prize for each Key Stage.
