Playground mentor training

This term, twice a week, Team Dannell are having playground mentoring sessions which are being delivered by Mrs Elliot. The aim is that towards the end of the year, and next year in Year 6, the children will be available on the playground at playtime and lunchtime to help other children who might need a friend, be upset or just be around to help. In the sessions, children are learning how to be a good listener, what makes a good friend and how to help in certain situations they might come across on the playground.
