Come inside to see the big snow wolf! This was one of the centre parts of the recent festive parade by Arts in Ramsgate and he now wants a home!
Our new House Captains, Ruby H, Maisy, Ellis, Ruby B, Jack, Tallulah, Oakley and Byron will represent their houses this year.
A 'Top of the Rocks' competition will go live on Timestables Rockstars tomorrow where it is RAPS Vs Upton Vs Chilton! Click to find out more!
For our Art to Start, we made snowflakes in groups out of white paper. This was to symbolise some of the explorers we will be learning about in topic, including Captain Scott who travelled to Antarctica on his ship ‘Endurance’. We were really pleased with the results and think they make our classroom look fantastic!
Following on from our 3D shape-making, Love to Learn is to choose another shape (or shapes!) to make. Bring in by 6th Dec
In maths, we learnt about 3D shapes and their nets. It was tricky- especially making shapes with 12 faces!
We had such a good time last week watching Michael Rosen at the Theatre Royal.
Every Tuesday, Year 6 will go down to Year 1 to do some shared reading. Today was our first day and it was a great success!
A polite reminder that reading records should be handed in every Monday but they are expected to be in school EVERY DAY as adults sometimes read with children and need to record this in their books. Children are expected to read 3 x per week for around 15mins.
For our Art to Start, we created bubble art. We discussed how bubble mixture is a liquid but when bubbles are blown, they contain a mixture of gases. Bubbles are made up of two states of matter: liquid and gasses. We also discussed how light reflects in the bubble mixture, allowing you to see a spectrum of colours.
We designed and built a rollercoaster to investigate potential and kinetic energy!
