Train Safety!

We visited Margate train station to learn about how to be safe and use the railways.

We had a great time at the workshop doing lots of fun and interactive activities. We had to guess the answers to some questions by running to the correct answer, learnt which different tools are used for fixing the lines and got to lift them up to see how heavy they were and we also watched an informative video which included some scary near-misses of people not being safe. Also, we walked around the station, learning how to buy a ticket, find out information and to stay behind the yellow line. However, perhaps the best part was when a train was approaching and we got the driver to honk the horn for us!
