Leavers Event
As we head into the home stretch, please note some important information, regarding their final two days next week...
On the Monday (17th July), we have the Leavers Ceremony at 6pm in the evening. In order for us to prepare the hall and get all the arrangements sorted, we will be asking the children to leave at 2pm. This also allows pupils time to get ready into their glad rags.
The ceremony itself should last round an hour, and will include some songs, some performances, the awarding of several trophies, some readings and gift-giving.
After the ceremony, there will be an opportunity for parents to take photos of their children and their classmates (children will not therefore need their phones, and should leave them at home). Adults will then be asked to leave, whereupon the children will have pizza and games of manhunt in the school building. Parents will be asked to collect their children at 10pm.
Finally, on the Tuesday (18th July) pupils will come in for their last day at RAPS. They should wear normal uniform and bring in additional shirts for signing. If any of the pupils write inappropriate comments on the shirts of others, they will lose the privilege and their own shirt! The school will make a celebration arch to bid the year sixes farewell at 2pm, and parents of Year 6 children should be at the main entrance at the front of the school to greet them as they make their way out.
