Safety in Action

On Wednesday, Year 6 got a coach over to the Hall at Dreamland for a carousel of workshops aimed at providing the children with all the knowledge and skills to stay safe...

As the children prepare to head to secondary school next year and therefore become more independent, the SALUS workshops equip the children with a wide-range of safety sessions.

The children were put into three groups and then worked their way around the various stations: sea and water safety; railway dangers; fire safety and escape plans; assessing and ranking risks; CPR; the role of community wardens; the importance of attendance, to name but a few!

The children were extremely attentive and impressed the adults running the groups. Hopefully, all the children are now better equipped to be more safe and self-reliant moving forward. A quick thank you too, to Mrs Elliott (our Safeguarding lead) for organising the trip for the children.
