Arrived safely!
After a seamless journey, the children have all arrived safely at Little Canada, had their first meal and are settling down for their first evening...
The journey went really smoothly, there was very little traffic, and we arrived at Portsmouth in good time. The ferry journey was just as good - thankfully the seas were calm and the sun was out!
Upon arriving at the camp, the children took some time to settle in to their cabins and then had a tour of the site. Our first meal was shortly after - personally I must say how amazing the coleslaw was, as well as the sausage pasta bake! I am also assured that the giant cookies for pudding were a real treat.
We then played a series of games of capture the flag as our first evening activity. The children worked well in teams to guard their own flag whilst attempting to seize the flag of their opponents.
The children have just recently been settled back into their cabins, and we will shortly be enforcing a lights out policy.
We have an early start tomorrow with the children up at 7!
