in maths, the children focused on exploring "1 less." They counted out a set of counters and covered them up so they couldn’t be seen. One child would then secretly take away one counter, and their partner had to work out how many counters were left. This activity helped the children understand how to find 1 less, strengthening their number sense and developing their counting and subtraction skills in a fun and engaging way.
