Spectacular Rocksteady!
Rocksteady concerts always bring such an energetic and fun vibe. The drumming and bass were brilliant — and with great vocals, keyboard and guitars, it was a blast! What was your favourite part of the show?

It's Monday! At RAPS, Monday morning gives us a chance to choose from different activities to channel our energy in a positive way. These mindful activities help us to focus, stay present and express how we are feeling. This morning, we have had everything from making peg board flags to making 'blueberries and pizza', from sorting coloured cubes to building pyramid traps! Ask us all about it!
Today, Year 2 started to explore division! We thought about what the division symbol means and about what division sentences represent – sharing equally! Then, we had a go at working out some division questions with our talk partners using counters and our steps! Grouping is much easier than we thought and we had lots of fun!
The children worked in groups, combining their ideas and skills to build impressive structures using only newspaper and tape. I was genuinely impressed by their ability to communicate effectively and support one another throughout the process. Not only did they demonstrate problem-solving skills, but they also showed great resilience when faced with challenges. They did an excellent job collaborating (one of our school values)!
This term, the children danced to the song "Good Time" by Owl City, and I must say, they truly embraced the spirit of fun and creativity!
In pairs, the children engaged in a short dance routine practising their coordination and teamwork skills. It was delightful to watch them come together, support one another, and enjoy the rhythm of the music. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and I could see the joy on their faces as they performed.
Team Morris had the BEST time and we have some fantastic dancers!
Please find the spellings attached for each spelling group (one for English group and one for RWI/Hybrid group). These will be handed out on Friday 21st March and children will be tested on Friday 28th March.
Year 2 went outside to the sunny outdoors today, engaging in a hoop challenge that required us to work together. With resilience and collaboration, they navigated the game without letting go! It was so much fun - ask us all about it!
Please find attached both spellings that will be given out on Friday 14th. There are separate spellings depending on which RWI/English class they are in. These spellings are due on Friday 21st March.
What a wonderful way to end the week with a show! Thank you to the wonderful performers of 'The Littlest Yak'.
From sharing our favourite books and characters and reading with friends to making our own bookmarks, from building our biscuit Hansel and Gretel houses to an afternoon teacher swap, we have LOVED our day! Happy World Book Day, RAPS!
Take a look at this term's Love to Learn due w/b 31st March! We cannot wait to see what you do!
We are returning back to having two spellings.
Spelling sheet 1 is for those who have successfully finished the RWI program and are in Team Amin-Barnes English group.
