Keeping Ramsgate tidy

On Thursday, years 5 and 6 met up with the Mayor and members on the town council to aid in a litter pick...

After walking to Montefiore Gardens, the children were equipped with litter pickers and bin bags and promptly set to work. After half an hour, the entire area was spotless. As the children still had a thirst to improve the local area, we headed to Boundary Park and spent a further half an hour clearing up rubbish. Along with cans and wrappers, the children even found a discarded pool noodle!

As a reward for their efforts, we stopped off at Ellington park for a picnic lunch and a brief sojourn in the play area!
