Tree planting
On Friday afternoon, year 6 walked to the Warre Rec (behind the new fire station) to plant some trees as part of a TDC climate initiative...
The children performed brilliantly and showed their 'green fingers' as they worked in pairs to plant numerous saplings. They had to dig the holes, stamp down the soil, hammer in a stake and peg down felt squares to enable the saplings to grow. Hopefully they will grow and flourish, providing further greenery to the park. Attached are a few pictures of some of the children in action.
