New topics

Our topic is 'Our Precious World', which will explore how geographers divide the world, climates, biomes, polar regions and the Amazon. In addition, we will explore some of the threats that our world is facing - which links in beautifully with our core text for the term: Floodland by Marcus Sedgwick.

The book is set in the not-too-distant future where global warming has led to drastic rises in the world's sea level, flooding many low-lying areas. We follow Zoe, a young lady from Norwich (now an island!) who sets out to find her parents after becoming separated when trying to head to the 'mainland'. Our writing in English will be based on the events from the book.
