Choosing Time!

Child-initiated play (choosing time) is a style of play where the activities are directed by children. It gives children the freedom to choose what they play with, as well as how and when they do so. We provide continuous provisions which are relevant to skills and topics we have been learning or learnt in the past. The adults love to join in with child-initiated play, but we ensure that we follow the lead of the children. The child directs their own play, choosing which activities and toys are of interest to them.
