3D shape and repeating patterns

Can you follow the sequence
This week in Maths we have been looking at 3D shapes and extending our understanding of repeating patterns. We have learnt some new shape names - test us! We can now identify and name a cube, cuboid, cylinder and sphere! We had great fun finding these 3D shapes in our environment and exploring if they stack, roll or slide. We also recognised the 2d shapes on the faces of 3D shapes. Later in the week we extended our learning of repeating patterns by creating more complex sequences. We have learnt to use codes to represent these patterns using the letters AB. We interpreted the codes we were given to create patterns using different objects and then moved onto creating the patterns pictorially. We even designed our own patterned wrapping paper!
