Guinea Pigs!

The importance of animals for children's development!

In Team Bennett, we have the pleasure of having two furry friends in our class too!

Tonks and Trix are regular visitors to our classroom and bring so many benefits to your child's development.

The benefits of having animals:

-improve children's confidence, such as when children read to them, as they don't judge or make comment, they simply love a child regardless.

-teach children respect, such as understanding when an animal isn't in the mood for cuddles, and understanding when they need space to hide or sleep.

-understanding the circle of life - although we are very lucky that Tonks and Trix are still with us, it is an essential life lesson to understand the process of being born, living, possibly reproducing, and then eventually passing away.

-helping children to understand nature.

-teaching them about animal responsibility, what they need to survive and how to care for them properly.
