Lantern Making

Ahead of the Newington light parade later in the month, pupils across the school have been busy preparing lanterns...

Visiting artists came in and provided instructions on building a frame by taping wooden withies together. Once done, the lanterns were wrapped in paper and glue before being decorated in the afternoon. There was some excellent collaboration on show, particularly with the glue and paper stage.

The parade itself is on Friday 18th October - watch out for more details in the school newsletter.
