A starry night

This week, we've been learning all about stars—where they come from, what they look like, and why they sparkle so brightly in the night sky. The children have loved exploring how stars can be so big, so bright, and sometimes even a little magical!
To take our star exploration a step further, we looked at Vincent van Gogh’s famous painting, "Starry Night." The children were amazed by the swirling stars and glowing moon in his beautiful, nighttime sky. Van Gogh painted the sky in such a dreamy, swirly way, and we talked about how the stars seemed to be dancing and shining so brightly. It was the perfect way to tie our star topic together with some creative expression!
