Nurturing Creativity and Early Writing Skills...

Exploring and Learning Through Play in Team Piper....
In Team Piper, we’ve been having lots of fun with our child-initiated activities, where the children take the lead in their learning. This kind of play is so important as it allows children to explore, create, and build confidence while developing key skills like problem-solving and social interaction.
Play is essential for young children—it helps them make sense of the world, express emotions, and practice new abilities. By choosing their own activities, children learn to make decisions and express their ideas, whether through building, role play, or creative arts.
We’ve also been encouraging the children to start writing simple letters and words. As they begin to label their pictures or write their names, they build vital literacy skills to support their future learning.
We’d love for you to encourage this writing at home too! Try asking your child to label a picture they’ve drawn or write a few words about something they enjoy. It’s a fun way to practice and reinforce their skills while boosting their confidence.
