Exploring Art and Seasons: Inspired by David Hockney’s My Window
This term, we have been diving into the fascinating world of art and seasons, using the work of renowned British artist David Hockney as our inspiration. His My Window series beautifully captures the changing scenery outside his window through digital paintings, showcasing the transformation of nature across different times of the year.
As part of our topic, A World of Weather, the children have created their own seasonal artwork in the style of Hockney. They have observed how the view outside their classroom changes and expressed these shifts using colour and texture, just as Hockney did. This project has not only helped them develop their artistic skills but has also deepened their understanding of how weather and seasons shape our environment.
