Hi Team Rees-Boughton,
How very strange this all is!
Every day you are off school I will either be sending you a video or a blog post every day to let you know your home learning for the day!
So today's task ...
PE: Joe Wicks, the Body Coach, has lots of incredible free workouts designed for children. I would like you to begin your day by getting your minds active. https://www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1
Maths:
You are going to be partitioning numbers. Which means we are going to be breaking them down.
For example: 62 = 60 + 2 or 183 = 100 + 80 + 3
My turn, your turn ... 86 = 80 + 6 or 645 = 600 + 40 + 5
Hmmm ... things get a little bit tricky when it comes to partitioning 'teen' numbers. But we must remember that they have 1 ten and then a certain amount of ones .... e.g. 15 = 10 + 5
In your maths work book can you partition these numbers:
a) 76 = 70 + 6
b) 64 =
c) 13 =
d) 49 =
e) 32 =
f) 837 =
g) 293 =
h) 704 =
i) 850 =
j) 600 =
Challenge: Make up your own ...
English:
For your English work today I would like you to write a diary entry about your first day of home schooling. Questions I would like you to think about are ... how are you feeling? what are you worried about? what are you excitied about? Remember a diary entry is written from the perspective of you (first person) and you need to include the word 'I'. Don't forget your BEST handwriting.
Topic:
As our current topic is Life as a Journey and we recently had tadpoles visit our classroom, can you create the life cycle of a frog?
Handwriting:
Please rehearse the letters: c, a, d and g
Help around the house:
Can you divide the washing piles in dark colours and light colours to help your adults.
Happy Monday!
Love Miss R-B, Mrs Fetherston, Mr Brown and Charlie Fudge! :)
