Learning for today:

SPELLING TEST (You’re testing yourself on the words from last week: T6W4!) When you are done, check out the words for next week (T6W5 in spelling section) and have a little practising session.

M: Start with a speedy recap of your 4x and 8x. You can do this with a dice game if you have dice, bingo, Hit the Button etc.?

Weekly Skills this morning! Work your way through each of the questions, checking your signs carefully with operations. If you are unsure of terminology (e.g. product, altogether, difference between), see if you can find out online/ask your adult to explain to you.

 

E: TASK:  Let’s continue with our story writing! What will happen next?

Things to think about:

• What is your hero doing? What is happening on their journey? Any obstacles? New characters?
• Element of humour? Will the hero defeat an obstacle in a funny manner?
• If they meet anyone, will they talk to the new character? Will you need to punctuate dialogue?!

Topic: Today is a catch up day! From what I gather, many of us have been doing other activities on the side/completing artwork/writing other stories/have tasks like the memory page to finish! Use your time this afternoon to finish the things you WANT to finish. I am not saying you have to, but I am setting this time to use for this purpose if you would like to (like we would use our Fridays as finishing off time at school).

If you have finished everything or don't want to finish something off, why not watch an episode of Blue Planet! I have been watching episodes with my Key Worker Group at lunchtime while we eat and we have really enjoyed it! You can find all of the episodes on BBC Iplayer! We particularly enjoyed watching A Shark’s Tale (BP Revisited) yesterday :) 

 

Extra activities:

R: Access the class reader Powerpoint if you haven’t already and listen along and/or read a chapter of a book of your choice. I have added chapters for you recently.
