Day Three at PGL
Children push themselves to the limits!
Today the children got up, washed, ate and pumped themselves up for a day of challenging activities. They had a fun morning of zip lining and began learning team skills such as keeping each other safe and motivating each other to overcome their fears and nerves.
After this, the group worked their way around a challenge course. However, being from RAPs, they of course decided that the challenge course was ‘too easy’ and ended up balancing all sorts on their heads whilst they completed it just to make it extra hard! Watching them trying to climb over obstacles with a cup of water on their heads was a funny sight.
Next, they had to get their arm and leg muscles working to climb an enormous ‘vertical challenge’ that consisted of ladders, netting and tyres on a completely upright course. Most of the children reached the top and we were genuinely amazed at their willpower and courage!
Last up was a nice game of ‘aeroball:’ trampolines plus quidditch, it was great. The kids were bouncing all over the place trying to score in each other’s goals with a soft ball. The teachers even had an aeroball battle at the end and of course Mr Stevens won with full support from the children. Better luck next time Mr Williams,
Absolutely exhausted, we all ate our dinner and regained some energy for a lovely evening disco with some of the other schools. The children were able to release their last bit of energy before a much needed final sleep at PGL…
Tomorrow we’ll be heading back home after just a couple more activities and some lunch. See you then!
