Blending Colours and Creating Galaxies...

In Team Piper, we’ve been having a fantastic time in our art lessons with Mrs Smith, learning about colour blending to create our very own galaxies! The children have been experimenting with different colours, mixing them to form beautiful effects, just like the night sky.

Next, they’ll be adding planets, stars, and other space elements to build on their galaxy pictures. It’s amazing to see their creativity shine through as they bring their cosmic scenes to life.

This activity ties into the EYFS framework, particularly in Expressive Arts and Design, where children are encouraged to explore different media and express their ideas. Through colour blending, they’re developing key skills in creativity and fine motor control.

We can’t wait to see how Team Piper’s galaxies continue to grow!
