Welcome to Year 5

We are thoroughly impressed with the new Year 5 this week. As we waved off a fantastic Team Pressley to become the new Team Bereat we have welcomed an equally enthusiastic and energetic Team who, I'm sure, are ready to challenge themselves and build resilience for the year ahead. 

We are very lucky to have a supportive and creative team working with us this year; Mrs Aldred, Mr Brown, Mr Adams and Miss Dannell as well as Miss Godwin and her Team next door. We are just as eager to get going and begin the Year 5 journey as you are!

Team Pressley have understood the expectation of the jump to year 5 and this exciting opportunity is full of chances to grow and learn in many exciting ways. This is a big change and a bigger commitment to our personal growth, but already I can tell Team Pressley are ready to rise to the challenge and will grow so much across the year ahead. 

We are learning all about the Titanic this week, and it has been great to see the children enthralled in this topic. Through this we have seen the creativity in their poster making and their logical thinking when ranking the biggest contribution to disaster. Also, the class took part in a wonderful debate and blew me away with their opinions of Disney role models! Shout out to Rudi, Erin, Sky, Fosse, Alfie and Leo who all excelled in their oracy skills. Tomorrow we shall set up our Doodle profiles.
