Home Learning, Monday 4th May
Please see below for today's home learning.
Happy Monday everybody. I hope you all had an awesome weekend. What a great picture of you outside RAPS Sandra, made me smile!
As you may have noticed, I've posted up our reading on a separate blog post. It tells you where the links are to Powerpoint slides of me reading the next three chapters to you. I hope you enjoy it Team Gunson!
PE: Have a look at the tasks that Mrs Horrigan has set for you in her blog post. I would like you to make a start on one of them today.
Maths: As a mental warm up I would like you to focus on your Times Tables.

Main Task: White Rose Maths, Year 5, Week 1, Lesson 5 - Thousandths as decimals
https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-5/
Have a watch of the lesson and then attempt the questions.
English: IALT write in role as Jeff about an incident in the story.
Listen again to the chapters I have posted and focus in particular on the fight between Bradley and the girls.
I want you to re-write the fight scene from Jeff's point of view rather than Bradleys.
What did Jeff think about Bradley's plan to hit the girls?
Did he go along with it because he wanted to, or for other reasons?
How did he feel during the fight?
What does he think of the girls?
How does he feel about Bradley now? Is he angry, disappointed or does he feel sorry for him?
Write in first person as Jeff.
Topic: IALT classify animals by their characteristics
Earlier on in our topic we learned that animals can be classified into different groupings depending on their characteristics. These groups included mammals, fish, amphibians, birds and reptiles amongst others.

I have attached a sheet for you below. I would like you to look at the statements on the sheet and match them with the correct groups of animals. A word of warning, some statements apply to more than one type. The answer sheet is also attached so you can check how you did.
