Maths task

Practice division by sharing and grouping try the questions below. Also check the home learning folder for activity sheets, it is called 'division revision'.

Division by SHARING

Can you write the correct division calculation for each of these:

Take ten cubes and share them between 10 children
Take 15 sweets and share them between 5 children
Take 15 sweets and share them between 3 children

Division by GROUPING

Can you write the correct division calculation for each of these:

Divide 20 sweets into groups of 2
Divide 20 sweets into groups of 4
Divide 20 sweets into groups of 5
Divide 20 sweets into groups of 10

Challenge: Can you teach your grown ups the difference between dividing by grouping and sharing?
