The Green Ship

In groups, the children have read through the books, developing their reading, summarising and clarification skills, before using the book to inspire our writing. The children have written a diary entry as one of the young children entering the garden for the very first time, and have taken a part of the book and rewritten it in the style of a playscript. Next week, we will be creating some descriptive writing, in readiness for some narrative writing in the following weeks.
