Hi Team R-B,

I just wanted to say how proud I am of each and every one of you! Yesterday I saw Felix's amazing handwriting, Grace's fantastic science experiments, Fuchsia's incredible fairy garden, Leo's wonderful Picasso painting, Sequoia's fabulous fractions, Ethan's pass the parcel maths game (on his birthday) and Theo made a TV! 

You are all taking home school in your stride and I love being able to catch up with you all through emails, pictures and videos!

English: Tomorrow you are going to write a story about a child who falls into a book so today you are going to plan it!
I want you to think about the beginning, middle and end either using a story map or a story mountain. I also want you to think about the key characters and settings. Think about if your character meets any fairy characters like Herb does.

Spelling:
Can you choose the right word to go into the sentences below? Then write the sentences out in your best handwriting.

Maths: Today we are going to be thinking about equivalent fractions. Equivalent fractions are fractions with different numerators and denominators that represent the same value or proportion of the whole. E.g we know that 1/2 is equivalent to 4/8 because 4 is half of 8. We also know 3/6 is equivalent to 1/2 because 3 is half of 6.

Topic:
Recap artists explored so far. Today we will look at the artist Georgia O’Keefe. Georgia was born in 1887, can you place her birth on the timeline? Look at the pictures below and think about her use of colours and make direct comparisons to the work of Evans, Picasso, O Keefe and Matisse – How are they the same? How are they different?

E.g. Evans uses curved lines in her work however Matisse uses straight lines.

Recorded task: Can you compare the common styles of the three artists explored so far and explain which they like the most and why.
