Home Learning
Tuesday 12th May 2020
Hi Team R-B,
What a windy day it was yesterday, I hope you didn't all get blown away! Thank you to those children who sent me your rainbow pictures I can't wait to see the rest of them!
Here is the home learning tasks for today!
PE: Can you have a go at Mrs Horrigan's PE challenges today? Email any photos or videos to her at: jenny.horrigan@ramsgateartsprimaryschool.co.uk
Or, if you're feeling really brave Leo and his Mum posted a very quick workout on the Paldet page yesterday so take a look at that!
Maths: We have finished our week on learning to tell the time. You should now be time experts so I would like you to complete the assessment at the bottom of this blog post.
If you would like an extra challenge, can you create your own time worksheet to upload to Paldet and test your friends?
English: I'm so sorry my Beegu video just wouldn't upload yesterday but hopefully you all managed to see the PowerPoint of the story. Today I would like you to write a diary entry from the perspective of Beegu. Remember she has crash landed on another planet, she misses home and lots of people are being very unkind to her.
Please make sure you include:
- Your BEST handwriting
- Capital letters and full stops
- Commas for lists
- Apostrophes for omission and possession
- A question
- Ambitious adjectives
- Amazing adverbs
Spelling: Today is our new unit! So today I would like you to dot and dash the words below. This week we are revising the 'j' sound which can be spelt in 4 different ways:
j
g
ge
dge
Topic: What AMAZING inventions I saw yesterday inspired by the work of Caroline Haslett. Today your task is to write the instructions and guide about how your invention works. You might want to start by introducing your product and what it does. Then writing the instructions about how to use it. Maybe have some reviews of people who has used your product and what they thought. You might even want to use any materials you have at home to make a prototype of your product?
Helping at Home: Ask your self, what can I do that would make someone I live with happy? I have read some amazing emails about you all being super kind around the house. Last week Felix decided he would make his Mum and Dad happy by creating a menu, dressing up as a waiter and helping serve dinner. I was so impressed with his kindness! What helpful thing are you going to do today?
Happy Tuesday!
