Then try and complete the table below.
English: Today your task to is to pretend you are Beegu and to write a post card home to your family. Maybe you could explain what you have been doing whilst on Earth but also explaining how home sick you are. There is a post card template below.
Spelling: Have a go at the word changers activity below. Remember, there are 4 different ways to spell the 'j' sound.
Topic: Many people invent things– that’s how we have so many helpful gadgets and objects in our lives! Many of the most significant people have looked around them to find out how to improve life for themselves or others. Some significant people, however, have become so important in history not for what they created for our world but for their exploration of our world– and beyond! Travelling around the world (using trains by Brunel or aeroplanes inspired by The Wright Brothers) has long been an interest of people as we are curious being who like to find out more. People in the past who travelled around the world in order to find out more about it are often referred to as explorers, define and explain this.
Many explorers from the past became famous as they made interesting and profound discoveries about the world we live in and their findings still influence us today. One such explorer was Christopher Columbus, he was a famous explorer during the 1400s. Can you place him on your timeline?
Here is some information all about him:
https://easyscienceforkids.com/all-about-christopher-columbus/
Columbus was an explorer who became famous because his voyages started the exploration and colonization of the Americas. Although he is a well-known and significant to history, he was actually not a very popular man and was known to be unkind and cruel to his crew and to others he met whilst travelling.
Recorded task: Can you write a fact file all about Christopher Columbus. You could include headings and subheadings to help you organise your writing. Such as: Early Life, Why is he famous, Did you know etc.
There is an example fact file below to help you.
Helping at Home: Can you help at home today by helping put the rubbish out?
Happy Wednesday!
