Yesterday, we visited Dreamland to learn about how to keep ourselves safe. We had lots of talks including from the fire service, coastguard and we also learnt how to put someone in the recovery position.

Today we were visited by local author Martyn Harvey who read us some of his stories and taught us how to draw illustrations!
Our topic this term is WW2 so our art to start was influenced by the Blitz.

This week, the school final of the speaker competition took place. Henry and Ellis from Team Dannell and both boys did incredibly well. After much deliberation, Henry was chosen to compete in the Viking Trust final at Upton! Well done and good luck Henry!
Our topic this term is WW2 so we have been learning about evacuation. We studied photographs and extracts from evacuees' stories to discover what it was like.
