Today we completed a Design and Technology project all about cams. Did you know, cams use a rotary movement to create a linear movement! We designed toys with an Ancient Greek theme and used dowels, followers and a shoebox for the main frame to build a working mechanism. It was really tricky to take exact measurements but this was important to ensure the dowels were straight. We worked so well together and Miss Dannell was really proud of our teamwork and our final outcomes. Look at the photos of our final designs attached below.
