DT: Iron Age Roundhouses

Take a look at our wonderful roundhouses

Friday afternoon was an exciting and creative one in Year 3! Over the week, we had started to learn about what an Iron Age roundhouse would have looked like and about how they were built, so what better way to deepen our learning than to build one for ourselves! With paper and sticks to represent the wattle, clay to represent the daub and straw for our thatched roof, we used our design and construction skills to produce some stunning roundhouses that certainly could stand the test of time!
