Reading For Pleasure Open Day

This year we will be focusing a lot on reading for pleasure. We want the children to develop their identities as readers so that they are able to confidently select books that appeal to them. Children who read for pleasure consistently succeed in other areas of the curriculum, so we want to foster a love of books in the classroom. As well as their levelled book, your child will have the option to bring home a book from our class library and will be given some library time each week. They can choose to read this in their spare time, and you are welcome to share this with them.

Please join us for an open reading session on 17th October at 10.30 PM. You will be welcomed into the classroom to share books with your child.
