The Speaker Competition
Last week, we wrote and delivered speeches as part of our learning in oracy week.
Our speeches had to be entitled, 'You wouldn't believe it but...'. We could choose any topic we wanted and it was fantastic to see the variety and creativity from everyone. I was so proud of everyone as all the children stood at the front and delivered their speech, remembering the techniques for public speaking we had learnt such as keeping still or moving with purpose; standing confidently; speaking clearly and loudly, and trying not to rush. Congratulations to Leela and Betsy who won the class competition and will be taking part in the whole school event.
