Mock SATs
Just a quick heads-up to pre-warn the children that we will be having a 'mock SATS week' when we come back after the break...
All primary schools have statutory testing in term 5 for year 6 pupils. In preparation for this, we are having a run-through for a number of reasons: to provide the staff with an understanding of any gaps we need to focus on for the next few terms of learning; to allow give the children a feel for the week, so it is not too overwhelming when the real one arrives; to check the access arrangements for certain pupils.
The testing will consist of a Punctuation and Grammar Paper, a Spelling paper, a Reading Paper, an arithmetic paper and two maths reasoning papers.
We will be taking them seriously, but do not want the children to get stressed about them. All we ever ask is that they try their best. If you have any questions regarding the tests, or this week in particular, please get in touch.
