Maths Team Piper

In our latest maths lesson, we focused on comparing numbers up to 10 while reinforcing our counting skills. The children started by gathering an amount of counters and then comparing their quantity with a partner, discussing who had more and who had less to encourage mathematical language. This sparked curiosity and excitement as they compared their handfuls with their partners, answering questions like "Who has more?" and "Who has fewer?" This practical approach helped solidify their number sense while making maths enjoyable and meaningful.
