Team Millidine Update

What an exciting time we've had!

We've had an amazing couple of weeks in class! Our recent trip to Dover Museum was a real treat for the children. They got to handle prehistoric artefacts, make their own mammoths, and even see a genuine Bronze Age boat. What a fun way to wrap up our Stone to Iron topic!

Now, we're diving into our new geography topic, "People and Places." Inspired by the talented artist Stephen Wiltshire, we have been creating skyline pictures of famous cities with black ink pens. Everyone has done such a great job!

This week, we explored Europe and the UK. In pairs, the children researched different European countries and shared their interesting facts with the class, covering landscapes, currency, climate, capital cities, and culture.

Last week was all about celebrating literacy. We had some wonderful authors visit to share their stories and help us create our own characters, song lyrics, and poetry. We even made a class poetry book about our homes, and the highlight was definitely World Book Day, with fancy dress and lots of story-sharing!
