Reading and Spelling

Good Morning!

In Year 4, children are expected to read at home a minimum of 4 times a week. This could be anything at all, library books, home books, school books or even magazines and recipes. Please could this be recorded in their reading records. Children have been asked to bring their reading records in on Mondays and Fridays for an adult to see. 

Also, there will be no spelling test next week as we break up on Thursday. However, we are going to send children home with the Year 3 and 4 statutory spelling list. These are words that children need to be able to spell by the end of Year 4. We would love if children could practise these across the year to support their spelling skills!
