Road Safety Fun for Reception with Kip the Bear

The Kent Road Safety Club recently visited our Reception class to teach important road safety lessons. The children met Kip the bear, who helped them learn how to stay safe near roads through fun activities and stories.

Reception children watched “Kip the Bear and the Thinking Hat” to explore how Kip can stay safe when crossing the road and riding his scooter. It was an exciting way for them to begin learning about road safety!

Parents, you can help reinforce these lessons by talking to your child about road safety whenever you're out and about. Remember to use the Kent Road Safety Code:

• STOP before the kerb
• LOOK and LISTEN for traffic
• THINK about what to do
• CROSS the road safely with an adult, looking and listening all the time.
