Fun in reception

We have been focussing on our emotions this week, we now know which feelings are unwelcome and which feelings are welcome. The children have been discussing unwelcome feelings and have been given different strategies to flip the pancake and turn these feelings into feelings that are welcome. 

As well as this, we have had our first few days of lunch times! All children have done really well with their lunch and now know how to scrape their plates once they have finished and help themselves to their puddings. We are very impressed with each and every child during this stage as it is a big leap for most of them.

We have enjoyed messy play, water play and lots of arts and crafts. The children already know our one rule for choosing time- we choose it, use it and then put it away! They have done amazing with this knowing that we must keep our classroom safe for all.
