Watercolour skills

Team O'Barnes have been learning a new skill today using watercolours and black outline pens. We began by using watercolours to paint the image of a UK monument. We were careful to use the correct colours and make sure that we were not using too much water so our picture wouldn't bleed. Then we used a black fine liner pen to outline and detail the picture.

Later this week, we will be using this skill to create a big map of the UK inspired by the work of Louise E. Jeffersen. Jeffersen used her work to draw attention to racial injustice and draw attention to racial intolerance. This week, we are having conversations around British history and talking about how we can be anti-racist and inclusive to all of our community.
