Lampshade

We talked about the properties of different materials and sorted them into opaque and transparent materials. We are going to be making our own lamp shade. To start our project, we first explored real lamp shades that might be used in our homes. We then had a variety of materials to test to see how suitable they would be for a lamp shade.

We then worked with our partners to design a lampshade using different shaped bottles and a range of different materials. Then, we made our own lamp shades using our design sheet to help us. We found the different art materials we needed and the material for the lamp shade. After we made our lamp shades, we presented them to our friends and explained why we used the materials we had.
