Welcome back
Welcome to year 6. It's that time of year again when we embark on a new academic year.
These blog posts will in future focus on sharing with parents and carers the learning that takes place in the classroom. Key information regarding visits, events and other changes to the normal routine will all be issued by the office through MCAS - so please ensure your contact details are up-to-date.
For the first week back, we will be focusing on our Personal Development week (where we'll introduce our new school values) and looking at Place Value in maths.
Our PE lessons for this term will take place on a Monday and Tuesday, so please make sure your children come to school in their PE kit.
Once we have assigned reading levels, your child will be given a reading record. It is the expectation that they record at least 4 signed reads a week in their records. Please can you ensure that they bring this record in to school every Monday so that it can be checked.
On Friday afternoon at 2:30, there is a Parents' Welcome meeting in the Year 6 classroom. In this, we will go through the topics that will be covered; our timetable and general information. We look forward to seeing you then.
