Maths- Subtraction

In Team Spurrier we have been learning to read and interpret subtraction calculations. We have done this many ways from reading a calculation, drawing the amount/making the amount, crossing out/taking away and then finding the answer to building a house for the pigs in a timer and then the wolf coming and blowing some down to see how many we had left. Towards the end of the week we became problem solvers as the wolf came and mixed up parts of the calculation and we had to put it back together and solve it for the pigs. As well as this, we challenged ourself even further by already having the working out (as you see in the photo) and then having to figure out the calculation to match. This really consolidated our understanding of subtraction. Fantastic work Team Spurrier!
