Mermaid painting

We loved our new painting technique of painting on cling film. We painted mermaids and under the sea creatures and we were so careful. Other activities included clay mermaid tails, turning yourself into a mermaid, making a treasure chest and writing about why mermaids shouldn't be kept in tanks. We read the story 'The Singing Mermaid' and it made us really feel for the poor mermaid who was trapped as a circus act.
