This week we have been working hard on our number bonds to 10. Knowing these helps us add up to 10 quickly and easily. But it can also help us find number bonds to 20 and even to 100! 

Number bonds to 20 – just add 10 to your number bonds to 10! 

0+20 = 20 

1+19 = 20 

2+18 = 20... 

Super challenge – can you find number bonds to 100? Just add in tens instead of ones: 

We know that  

1 + 9 = 10 so  

10 + 90 = 100 

We know that  

3+7=10 so 

30 + 70 = 100 

We also need to practise number bonds to make any given number. Remember the best way to find all the different ways to make a number is to start from 0... 
How many number bonds make 5? 

0 + 5 = 5 

1 + __ = 5 

2 + __ = 5  

Challenge yourself to find the missing number bonds on the sheet Missing-Number-Bonds-Challenges-Activity-Sheets. Do as many as you want!  

 

   

English   Can I perform a poem? or Can I publish a poem?

If performing is not your thing, then please publish your poem. Yesterday you should have finished editing and revising it, today I would like you to rewrite your whole poem on some beautiful paper or card. Use your best handwriting and make sure you space the poem out as described earlier in the week (pace verses, keep sentences fairly short). Alternatively, you could type up your poem on a computer and decorate it with pictures.

Cast your minds back to term 1 when we learnt about the 4 countries in the UK and their capital cities. 

What do the flags for each country look like and which plants are celebrated as emblems (symbols of representation) in each country? 

Attached is a quiz sheet for you to complete. You may need to ask you adults to help you or you may like to do some research to find out the answers. You may have an encyclopaedia, atlas or map book at home or you may like to do your research on the Internet. Some of the facts you may well remember!
